Spicy Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry

A delicious and aromatic Thai dish with tender chicken and fragrant basil.

Ingredients:


  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions


  1. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add garlic, shallot, and red chili. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken slices and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Stir in bell pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and fish sauce. Mix well.
  6. Toss in fresh basil leaves and cook until wilted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
