Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze

Crispy roasted Brussels sprouts drizzled with a sweet and tangy balsamic glaze. Perfect as a flavorful and healthy side dish.

Ingredients:


  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: 1/4 cup toasted almonds or pine nuts for garnish

Cooking Instructions


  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden and crispy on the edges.
  4. Make the Balsamic Glaze: While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey (or maple syrup) in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until the mixture reduces by half and thickens into a glaze, about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine and Serve: Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the roasted Brussels sprouts and garnish with toasted almonds or pine nuts, if desired. Serve warm.
